Sherri grew up in Big Spring. She has been married to retired Dr. John Key, a dentist.  They have one son, Richard, who is a Texas Game Warden.  He is married to his wife, Elizabeth, and they have one son Logan. 

She received a Bachelors Degree from University of North Texas and a Masters Degree from Texas A & M Commerce, plus a supervision from Texas Tech.  Sherri taught school for 7 years in Big Spring and  Dallas.  She received her Real Estate license in 1996 and her Brokers license.  She has previously owned her own real estate office in Big Spring, and one in Wichita Falls.  

She joined the Permian Basin  Board  of Realtors in 1995. She has served on the Board of Directors many  years -She served as 2017 President, 2016 Sec/Tres,2020 Sec/Tres, Served on the Finance Committee many years, TRLP Graduate, 2011 , 2006 Sec/Tres- served on Government Affairs Committee - Big Spring Task Force -

Sherri received the 2005 REALTOR of the Year. The Ambassador of the year in 2016, the Presidents award in 2014, and the Golden Eagle award in 2019. Sherri is active in the  local, state events and in her community.
